If you want a link from another page to jump to a heading, you can add the anchor link (begins with a “#”) to the regular page link and when that link is clicked on the user will be taken to that heading on the new page. Anchor links are a great way to make longer articles more attractive and easier to read. As for the pros and cons of anchor links, we generally lean towards believing that the pros outweigh the cons, but we leave it for you to be the judge. ![]() If you begin typing the heading you want the link to jump to, the anchor link for that heading will appear in the search results. The only place that leads to the anchor is actually the link to the anchor. In the top right, click Publish or Update to take your changes live. Enter the full URL of the page followed by the hashtag symbol, followed by the name of the anchor. To create an anchor link, add the desired link text, select it and click the “add link” icon. In the pop-up box, click the Link to dropdown menu and select URL. After saving the content, those headings become available as “anchors” which can be linked to. When you open your content for editing, the plugin adds unique ids to all the h2 and h3 headings. In the widget settings, enter the anchor link URL. You can add the anchor to most blocks within your content. To do this, we need what is known as an anchor. Then, click on the Add Widget button and select the Anchor widget. Step One: Create an Anchor The first step is to select the section you want your readers to arrive to after they click the page jump. In the section settings, select the One Column layout. Next, click on the Add New Section button. Then, click on the Edit with Elementor button. The plugin works by adding a unique “id” to the headings in your content. This makes it very easy to add “jump” links to headings within the content.
